Today – fabulous places to eat in London
I love to go out to eat and I love London town. Combining the two is an absolute pleasure for me. London is full to the brim of great places to eat that are as diverse as this fabulous city.
I want to tell you about some of the fabulous places I have eaten in London and a couple of places I want to try.
Fabulous places to eat in London
Choccywoccydoodah
Oh my goodness Choccywoccydoodah is an experience. I took my 11-year-old daughter there for a treat last time we went up to London and she was in chocolate heaven. We booked a spot in the chocolate coffee and she had hot chocolate and chocolate cake and I had coffee and strawberries with chocolate. We sat in a rather eccentric room in plush fabulous chairs with wacky decor all around us. So much fun!
The Ritz
Afternoon tea at the Ritz was like nothing I have ever experienced before. It was just pure decadence and the service was spectacularly good. My teacup was refilled as soon as it was drained and the cakes were pretty as a picture and absolutely delicious. Just a delight. I felt so posh. My experience was SO good I have since taken afternoon tea at Harrods, the Park Lane Hotel and the Dorchester. I am a bit of a fan of afternoon tea!
Fortnum and Masons
Nursing a very broken heart I wondered into Fortnum and Masons one morning and had the best coffee of my life and the most delicious bowl of ice cream. I remember crying into my bowl and then smiling through my tears with sheer delight at the taste sensation. Glorious.
I do realise I am telling you where to get cake, chocolate and ice cream rather than real food!
Places I would love to eat in London
I have long wished to visit China town and eat spring rolls and dumplings in one of the tiny cafes there.
I would love to take my kids to the rainforest cafe which looks so exciting and the decor is just amazing.
Young Vegans in Camden do speciality vegan pies which would go down a treat in the cold weather too.
In Chelsea Wulf and Lamb is a more sit down style Vegan restaurant that has had rave reviews.
I have to be honest last time I took my daughter to London the best drink I had was form the smoothie bar at St Pancras! but ok how I would just love a visit to the champagne bar at St Pancras. It looks absolutely amazing and what a wonderful place to meet up with a long lost friend.
Wherever you go in London you can be pretty certain that nearby is a great place to eat or drink no matter what kind of food you like!
