Today – Smoky Bloody Mary Recipe

Did you know 21 – 28 May 2018 is British Tomato Week which kicks off the British tomato season.

Hyde Lobby Bar at Royal Lancaster London will be shaking up ‘The Smoky Bloody Mary’ during British Tomato Week.  The mixologists have shared their recipe for the cocktail, such a lovely way to celebrate our toms!

Smoky Bloody Mary Recipe

Ingredients:

60ml Ardbeg Scotch Whisky

90ml British Tomato Juice (or homemade tomato juice if you have leftover tomatoes at home!)

10ml brown rice vinegar

1tbsp brown rice miso paste

1 pinch of smoked sea salt

1 pinch of black pepper

3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce

3 dashes of Tabasco sauce

Handful of dried seaweed

Method for Smoky Bloody Mary Recipe

Step 1: Add all of the ingredients into a tumbler. Stir together with ice.

 

Step 2: Strain the mixture into an ice-filled highball glass.

 

Step 3: Lightly wet the rim of the glass and add a sea salt and seaweed rim.

 

Step 4: Garnish the drink with strips of dried seaweed. Enjoy!
