Regular readers will know that sustainability is really important to us here at Eat Simply.
We love to use up leftovers and we avoid plastic wherever we can. How delighted were we, therefore, to be sent these beautifully handcrafted bowls to review. The bowls are eco-friendly as reclaimed from discarded coconuts and they are durable as well as easy to clean.
These pretty coconut bowls are 100% natural and due to being entirely natural your bowl will also be entirely original in shape and markings. We think that completely adds to their charm.

How they are made
These Thai coconut bowls are sustainable and lightweight, The bowls and spoons are cut, cleaned and sanded, and then polished with coconut oil, all the while maintaining the original shape of a real coconut bowl. You can use them for serving food hot or cold or you can simply use for decoration. As you can see above, I am currently displaying dyed eggs for Easter in one of mine.
How to clean coconut shell bowls
Avoid the dishwasher but a quick hand wash and they are back to perfect.

What we thought
We loved them, my kids were enchanted by them and clamoured to eat from them. I thought they were both stylish and decorative and I loved that they were natural. A big hit in our house!
