Today we tried a Scrumptious and Simple Chocolate Bar Recipe
I did a little Easter shopping at TK Maxx this weekend and purchased a tin containing some chocolate bar moulds and a cutter. I thought it might be a fun thing to try out over half term. Oh my goodness within minutes my daughter had it opened and her chocolate bar dreams were in process.
We tried a very simple approach to our chocolate bars based on that very old favourite chocolate and rice crispies.
Simple Chocolate Bar Recipe Ingredients
200g Dairy Milk (though any cooking chocolate would do)
Several handfuls of rice crispies ( so untechnical I know but basically as many or as few as you like)
I twirl (or a flake)
I packet of chocolate buttons
Simple Chocolate Bar Recipe Method
I melted the chocolate in a microwave, pausing and stirring every 30 seconds till it was smooth.
We then quickly added the rice crispies and spooned in the other chocolate bar moulds.
Then we smashed up the twirl ( I suppose you could grate it but we had tons of fun bashing it with a mug)
Then we added the twirl and the buttons to the bars and left to cool.
Once it was cool we transferred it to the fridge for 2 hours, before gently removing.
These make lovely gifts and go just absolutely perfectly with cold milk or a cup of tea. I hope you like our simple chocolate bar recipe. You could really add any topping you like.
